Betsy DeVos Encourages Educational Diversity

In the past, children who were from families that were poor had very few opportunities when it came to their education. They had to go to subpar public schools that were free for their families to take advantage of. They never even had a chance to be able to go to private school. Betsy DeVos saw this as a huge problem and wanted to make sure that she was doing things the right way for children who were in different situations. This meant that she needed to make sure that she was doing something actionable for each of the children in the United States who really had no chance at being able to make sure that things were going to work for them. She also wanted to be sure that things were going to work well so that they would be able to get the education that they needed.

The first step that Betsy DeVos took was to create voucher programs. With these programs, parents who were below the poverty line could get the vouchers for their children. They would then be able to use these vouchers to send their children to private school. They could use them no matter what was going on with their finances and it allowed the children a great chance that they may not have had otherwise. Innovation and the Lori Senecal Story

Up until about ten years ago, the name Lori Senecal was not well-known. Now she has become almost legendary in the marketing and advertising fields. Senecal went from being a humble, small-town girl in Canada to running some of the most successful advertising firms in the world. She has moved up in the world, and she owes it all to her ability to innovate.

When she was young, Senecal always had to find new and creative ways to get the attention of her parents. She had three other siblings, and her parents worked almost constantly to keep the children fed. In 2003, Lori Senecal found a way to create better business ideas at McCann Worldgroup and became the co-founder of TAG Ideation. She was given the position of Global Chief Innovation Officer in 2006, and the President of McCann Worldgroup’s flagship office in New York shortly after that. In 2009 she found an opportunity to become the President and CEO of Kirshenbaum, Bond, Senecal, and Partners. Here she really started to make a name for herself in the advertising and marketing realms.

While at KBS, Senecal led the Company into a streak of unprecedented growth. She broke out of the CEO mold and started to do things her own way. In an interview with Campaign US, Senecal stated that the goal of the Company is not just to create another global network of advertisers, but to actually try to spark innovation and creativity, putting the people involved over the process. These policies helped Senecal get named as one of the “Advertising Executives to Watch” in 2014 and 2016 by Ad Week. Her success at KBS also led her to being recognized by the Advertising Women of New York as a Game Changer. She was appointed to the Board of MDC Partners, a global holding company for advertising agencies, in 2014 thanks to her contributions and innovations to the industry.

Due to all of these factors, Lori Senecal was chosen to be the new CEO of Crispin, Porter, and Bogusky (CP+B) in 2016. Here she will continue her career and continue to find new and innovative ways to help clients get the results they want in the marketplace.
